What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty; In other words, rhinoplasty surgery is the operation of correcting the nose in accordance with the person's facial structure by correcting both functional problems (difficulty breathing through the nose) and the deformity of the nose.

Age Limit for Surgery Does it exist?

Physiologically, bone development is completed at the age of 18. It is necessary to wait for this development to be completed for rhinoplasty surgery. Additionally, there is no upper age limit for surgery unless there is an obstacle related to health status.

What kind of complaints do patients apply for Rhinoplasty Surgery?

Actually Although patients who want rhinoplasty have various complaints, the common point is the same. If the person looks in the mirror and cannot make his nose match his own face, surgery is required. Because plastic surgeries are surgeries that increase a person's well-being, and psychological well-being comes first. The most common complaints are;

Arched nose,

Too big or small nose,

Sagging or drooping nose tip,
Opposite nose. The nose looks wide when looked at.
I can count it as excessive movement of the tip of the nose while talking or laughing.

How Does the Surgery Process Work?

In the Interview We come together for acquaintance, information, examination and photo shoots. When our patient comes with a request for aesthetic nose surgery, I evaluate both the functional problems and the problems related to the external appearance of the nose in detail. I want the patient to explain his problem in detail, using his own description, without interrupting the patient. Because it is very important to understand the patient's wishes well. I give various rhinoplasty forms to the patient and ask him to fill them out so that he can express his complaints in the best way possible. These forms help me understand the patient even better. In my opinion, understanding the patient's demands regarding the desired nose and producing personalized solutions for them is one of the most important stages of this surgery.

2. In the meeting, we present the analysis studies based on the photographs taken previously. What are the problems? How should it be resolved? Design and before/after We are evaluating the studies. In other words, we talk about what changes we can achieve with the surgery we will perform.

It is also a long process for the patient to decide to have surgery. The preoperative and postoperative processes are the same. I like to talk both verbally and through photographs to thoroughly understand the patient's demands. This also has many advantages for the patient. It is necessary to allocate enough time for him to express himself. Sometimes, he can easily explain the changes that he cannot express in words through photographs. We also know that it is more difficult to achieve satisfactory results in surgeries where decisions are made in a shorter time and are performed without understanding the patient thoroughly.
