How Can I Contribute to My Baby's Development During Pregnancy?

We now know the importance of the relationship we establish with our baby starting from the womb. Motherhood begins with pregnancy. The biggest investment we will make in his development is to show compassion to our baby while he is in the womb. The best way to achieve this is for the mother to meet her own basic needs. So, the mother should pay attention to eating healthy, resting and getting enough sleep. In addition, one should stay away from harmful substances that will harm the baby, and stay away from stress and loud noises as much as possible, even though it is difficult during the epidemic period we are experiencing.

Even if all precautions are taken, stress and tension may occur due to reasons beyond our control. At such times, the mother can do meditation, massage and relaxation exercises. Difficult emotions will come from time to time, and at such times, it may be more preferable to talk and calm down by crying, rather than suppressing those emotions. We should not forget that the investment we make in ourselves also contributes to our baby. Our baby is fed by the emotions we feel. It has been proven by research that our babies start learning before birth. It recognizes us while we are in our womb.

Research has found that the head diameter of a baby who is supported in the womb is larger than its peers, and its motor, cognitive, language and social development is advanced compared to other babies.

My relationship with my baby while I am in the womb. How can I establish it and support its development?

Sometimes, expectant mothers/fathers experience stress and anxiety due to the virus. anxiety is permanent Will it harm my baby? They can ask questions. I understand your concerns and find them very appropriate. I would like to say that; Not every traumatic situation causes lifelong problems. I believe that if the mother hugs her baby affectionately in her womb, and after birth, she maintains eye contact and communicates with a soft tone of voice as much as possible, this will ensure both the mother's own recovery and the baby's recovery.

Best regards
