We enter a different process every day. Our new process is "New Normal", that is, normalization.
We tried to change some of our habits and even add new habits to overcome the pandemic process we are experiencing as a society.
Now, we will make a change again and return to our old process, but not completely.
This is where people may get confused. Psychologically, human beings are ready to adapt. This is its structure. When the organism gets rid of the effects of excessive and inadequate stimulation, it adjusts itself according to the environment it is in. In other words, physiologically, the sensory organs adapt to the environment and stop responding. This process is called sensory adaptation. When the sensory organs are constantly exposed to a stimulus that maintains the same level of intensity, this stimulus gradually loses its initial effect and the response to this stimulus gradually weakens or disappears, is called HABITIZATION
Therefore, a person gets used to it sensory and this habituation leads to desensitization. If there are those who have read about the Corona virus, they have already realized that this virus exists but it appears in a new form, everyone will catch the virus, but the later we catch the virus until its structure is solved, the better. For this reason, while the New Normal is normalizing, especially people over the age of 65 and those with chronic diseases should be cautious. Children are not banned yet, but they are allowed to go out. They should take care to be careful and make the disinfection process during the corona process a habit. The process requires normalization and returning to our old lives. Yes, we will normalize, but without forgetting that a virus may enter our lives. We should perceive this thought not at the level of obsession and anxiety, but as a move we have made before in our lives, such as changing jobs, or the idea of going to another city, and manage the adaptation process accordingly, and keep the anxiety at a point where we are psychologically healthy. It should not be forgotten that the anxiety of the mother and father is passed on to the child, the child grows into an anxiety that he cannot explain or convey, and appears as a problem. Therefore, minimum anxiety, maximum precaution and attention for psychological health.
