Nutrition is important in every period of life. Nutrition is of particular importance during infancy, when growth is the fastest.

The most suitable food for a newborn baby is BREAST'S MILK. Breast milk is an irreplaceable food in terms of keeping the baby healthy, meeting all nutritional requirements, being easily digested and protecting against infections.

FEED YOUR BABY ONLY WITH BREAST'S MILK FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS

Complementary foods should be started after 6 months.

All babies over 6 months should receive complementary foods and breast milk with complementary foods until the age of 2. or more should be continued.

The first milk the baby receives (colostrum) is nutritious and even small amounts of sucking help milk production.

Supplementary foods should be given in accordance with your baby's month

Between the age of 0-1, sugar and sugary foods, as well as salt and salt-containing foods, should be avoided.

Sweet and sugary foods cause the baby to excrete breast milk and have difficulty in transitioning to additional foods, and the baby constantly wants sweet food and therefore gets more energy than necessary.
0 -6 MONTHS
In this period, breast milk should be used by monitoring the baby's growth month by month. If breast milk is not enough for various reasons or the mother has various health problems, foods suitable for the baby's month should be preferred by consulting a doctor or nutritionist.
4-6 MONTHS
Breastfeeding must be continued.
Fruit juice (preferably apple juice as it does not cause gas and is not allergenic), yoghurt, vegetable soup can be added.
It is very important for the mother to be patient when choosing additional foods to be added to the nutrition plan. More than one complementary food should not be used on the same day. The rejected food should be waited for a few days and tried again.

To understand that your baby is adequately and balancedly nourished;
In the first 6 months, the baby should gain approximately 800 g of weight per month.
In the 6-12 month period, a monthly weight gain of 500 g is an indication that your baby is healthy.
