Hello to all of you again, my dear readers. I am happy to meet you again. I hope you can find something about yourself in my articles. Today, I want to talk to you about vaginismus and whether it is real. As soon as it touches her, she stiffens herself, cannot open her legs, and says that she feels a tremendous pain. In fact, if contracting the vagina and becoming rigid were a situation in the person's control, sexual intercourse would become impossible in cases of rape. Therefore, the person's contraction depends entirely on unconscious and involuntary factors. We can say that while experiencing the condition makes the person feel pressured from time to time, the person feels guilty and starts to avoid sexual intercourse just because of these situations. There are many types and the underlying reasons are usually psychological. Let's look at the types of vaginismus together.
What we call the primary type. The second part is the situation in which the person experiences this problem from the first sexual intercourse. The secondary type is the situation in which the person experiences pain, pain and contraction during sexual intercourse after a while due to relational problems, although this problem is not seen in the first sexual intercourse. The part we call atypical type is the part where the cause is not fully known. Situational type is a type that has developed entirely depending on the situation, event, or object. This type may be revealed if a person encounters any undesirable situation in his home or in his bed. For example, every event, from the color of the sheets to the location of the bedroom, can actually affect sexuality. Everything that develops in a person's life. This situation is an important guide for us. Even if the person thinks that this problem is not related to these, it plays an important role in them. The total type can emerge as a result of the development of all types together. There is a little bit of each type.
In fact, it is the one that responds most to sexual therapy. sexual dysfunction, sexual pain disorder is vaginismus. However, due to the circulation of dirty information in society, the last thing that comes to people's mind is to get psychological help. As soon as this problem is noticed, the person has to deal with it on his own. Instead of trying to solve this problem, if she gets support from a psychologist who has a bachelor's degree in sexual therapy, she will be able to solve this problem with the least damage.
So why do women experience this problem?
There are both psychological and organic reasons. While organic reasons include genital elements, vaginal structure and gynecological problems, psychological reasons include;
*Lack of sexual knowledge and experience: Since the person learns his first sexual information from wrong sources or does not learn it at all, his sexuality is always kept in a closed box. It waits to be discovered in some way. Whenever a person decides to have a sexual intercourse and takes that step, that's when Pandora's magic box begins to open and he tries to confront sexuality. If the person cannot obtain this information from the right sources, various problems begin to arise. Again, exaggerated exaggerations, which are common in society, begin to open. First night stories create fear in the person, and since the person is exposed to these exaggerated first night stories and there is an area he does not know, he cannot distinguish whether what is told is true or false, which may cause vaginismus problem in the person. On the other hand, in some societies, the hymen is associated with virginity and honor and the person As a result of believing that it is necessary to protect the hymen, which we call hymen, the person becomes unable to have sexual intercourse again. According to research, the main purpose of the hymen is to prevent the microbes present in the feces from being carried to the inner parts of the vagina, since girls are diapered when they are first born. So, as you can see, it has nothing to do with virginity. Another important psychological reason is that people who grew up in a closed, oppressive, authoritarian family structure never discussed sexuality by their families and were raised with the belief that this event was shameful, dirty and a sin. Relational and communication problems with their spouses and harmony problems with their spouses can trigger vaginismus. Oedipal complex, when a woman sees her husband as her father, is one of the important factors that trigger the person. Another important reason is the sexual traumas that the person has experienced in childhood, adolescence or adulthood, such as harassment, rape, exposure to the image of a genital organ in childhood, exposure to the sounds of lovemaking. While being exposed to images of one's parents making love traumatizes the person because they cannot understand the situation at that age, it is a strong reason for the person to experience this problem.
While 2 out of 10 women in society have vaginismus, this problem is generally experienced by teachers, nurses and university graduates. It is more common.
Vaginismus significantly reduces the quality of a person's marriage and sexual life. Therefore, if you or someone around you is experiencing this problem, it would be beneficial to get support from a sexual therapist.
Dear readers, please. Do not postpone life and please remember that the solution to this problem is possible, just like every problem has a solution, and take care of yourself.
Stay with love..
