Urinary incontinence due to stress is the most common. It is one of the species. This condition is usually caused by weakness of the pelvic floor muscles. Pelvic floor muscles are the muscles that support the lower urinary tract. If these muscles are strong, they can hold the urethra until it is time to urinate. If there is any weakness in these muscles, the urethra opens involuntarily and urine leaks out as the internal abdominal pressure increases. Generally in this situation; It is caused by things such as laughing, sneezing, coughing.

This condition is common in women who give birth to a large number of births, in women who give birth to larger babies than normal, due to obesity, due to genetic characteristics inherited from the family, and at the beginning of menopause.

Urinary incontinence may also occur in cases of weakness of the muscles that control bladder emptying. Generally, these muscles keep the urethra closed and do not relax until it is time to urinate. Urinary incontinence may occur when these muscles, called sphincters, are not sufficient.

In the type of urge urinary incontinence, a frequent and strong desire to go to the toilet occurs. However, it is seen that urine leaks before it reaches time. The reason for this situation is that the bladder muscles are stronger than normal.

In cases of mixed urinary incontinence, stress and other reasons can be mentioned.

In overflow urinary incontinence, the bladder collects urine above its capacity. and the person has the urge to urinate. Even though your muscles are strong, some urine escapes because the bladder is too full. Generally in this situation; It is caused by events such as damage to the pelvic muscles, wider than normal pelvic muscles, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis.

Because the causes are different and vary from person to person. There are also changes in treatment methods. In cases of urinary incontinence, some exercise movements are given to the person. It is one of the most well-known treatment methods.
