Proper nutrition is of great importance in Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that occurs when the immune system damages the nervous system and causes loss of sensation and strength.
How should caffeine be used?
Prof. stated that products containing caffeine increase nervousness, insomnia and urinary frequency. Dr. Sultan Tarlacı said, “There is no harm in drinking coffees that contain caffeine. It should not exceed 3 units per day. For example; It should be as follows: '1 Coffee + 1 Tea + 1 Coke = 3' and gave the following information:

Be careful with these foods!
Again, foods taken should be avoided if they cause any sensitivity in the intestines. An allergic reaction may occur to any food (fruits, vegetables or meat). However, they are not as common as the foods listed below. These listed foods are the cause of 90% of food allergic reactions in humans: Milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts (walnuts, etc.), fish, shellfish, soy flour. Contrary to popular belief, food additives (E-numbered) are rarely the cause of allergic reactions.
Some “E additives” ” nutrients
It can be found as an additive in daily used products. The most problematic among these are those containing gluten and glutamate. Monosodium glutamate, also known as Vetsin, or E621, is an additive used to enhance flavor in many food products. Scientifically, this taste is considered the fifth taste, next to bitter, sweet, salty and sour. Glutamate is the main component of protein. It is found naturally in almost all protein-containing foods (meat, poultry, seafood). The amount of glutamate used in foods is between 0.1% and 0.8% of the food. This amount is similar to the level of glutamate found naturally in conventional foods. Apart from monosodium glutamate, it is also used in other pleasant odor enhancers (flavors). Some of them are also of glutamate origin, these are; monopotassium glutamate, calcium diglutamate, monoammonium glutamate and magnesium diglutamate. Their product code is between 'E620' and 'E629'.
Stay away from Aspartame!
Aspartame is a low-calorie sweetener. If you do not put sweetener in your tea but drink diet/light cola, you are taking aspartame. Aspartame converts to aspartate, which is a poison, at a rate of 40%. In addition, it also turns into methanol (a type of alcohol) and formic acid. If monosodium glutamate, which is frequently used in foods, is taken together with arspartame, the toxic level of the product it turns into, aspartate, increases many times. These substances can freely cross the blood-brain barrier and cause direct damage to the nervous system, or they can increase existing damage. Currently, people diagnosed with MS should not consume foods containing aspartame. Although some studies say 'there is no evidence', we should not think 'absence of evidence cannot be proof that it does not exist' and overload the body with aspartame. Although it does not trigger MS attacks, aspartame intake should be avoided due to its fatigue, weakness and numbness-increasing properties. Aspartame has also been shown to trigger migraine headaches in some people.
Probiotics provide intestinal balance
Despite the negative effects of the absence of intestinal flora, nutritional intake However, taking beneficial bacteria (probiotic supplements) can play a role in improving health by restoring the normal balance in the intestine.
