During the follow-up of pregnant women with this disease in Africa, bleeding, blood clotting problems called coagulopathy and premature birth were observed. Even though the disease has not been seen in Turkey yet, obstetricians should ask the women they suspect whether they have traveled to countries where this infection is seen. breastfeeding mothers can transmit the virus to their babies. For this reason, the mother with Ebola should stop breastfeeding immediately,” he emphasizes.
It is necessary to go to countries where the Ebola virus is widely seen. Doctor Ünal says that pregnant women should be very careful
about themselves and gives the following warnings to pregnant women: “Wash your hands frequently with soap. Stay away from people you know have Ebola. Do not touch body fluids such as sweat and urine.
Do not touch someone who has died of Ebola. Do not consume raw meat. Never touch animals such as bats, monkeys and chimpanzees in the area. “These animals can transmit the Ebola virus.”
