Some people love themselves adorably, while others hate themselves ruthlessly. We have all witnessed how people who are cotton to others are as sharp as glass to themselves. So, how can people who are so generous in understanding, kindness, compassion and forgiveness be so cruel, critical, accusatory, humiliating and hateful towards themselves? These are people who lack understanding and empathy towards themselves. They are people who lack self-compassion.
Self-compassion is giving ourselves the sensitivity, kindness, compassion, understanding and kindness we give to others. How easy and simple it seems when you actually read it, doesn't it? However, how many people said nice things to themselves when they looked in the mirror? How many people were proud of their achievements? How many people have dressed the wounds of life and people? People who lack self-compassion have nothing against them when they throw a blow at themselves. There is a self-criticism in them that does not shut up. They are blind to their success, beauty and goodness. But they are almost like hawks about their failures and bad situations. When they look in the mirror, they see their faults very well, they often remind themselves of their failures by saying "I am a failure, I am incompetent". These people have not learned to value themselves. To show understanding to them. There is something that these people who are generous with compassion and understanding for others and stingy when it comes to themselves are missing out. Let a person love and own himself first so that he can show the same sensitivity to others later on. For example, when a mother sees something she criticizes herself in her child, how likely is it to show her the understanding that she could not show herself? Moreover, human beings learn many emotions such as love, understanding and compassion, as well as many emotions, primarily in the place where they were born, lived and grew up. If every person can accept himself first with his mistakes, truths and mistakes, and understand himself first, he can understand and accept other people and the world so well.
