Turkish School Age Language Development Test (TODİL) is an adaptation of Test of Language Development-Primary: Fourth Edition into Turkish. TODİL is a standardized assessment tool that comprehensively measures language-speech development covering the age group of 4 years 0 months to 8 years 11 months. is evaluating. This test basically aims to identify strengths and weaknesses in terms of language development and to distinguish children with developmental language disorders by considering language and speech development in children with different dimensions.

The first six of the TODIL test are basic tests and It consists of nine subtests, the last three of which are complementary tests. These tests are :

Listening system: Word Discrimination, Picture Vocabulary and Sentence Comprehension subtests.

Organizing system: Phonemic Analysis, Covered by Associated Vocabulary and Sentence Repetition tests.

Speech system: Articulate

The scale formally assesses the skills of grammar, semantics, narrative and discourse in listening, organizing, repetition, remembering, speaking functions of children aged 4-9.

The whole sample was used in the validity and reliability study of the test. More than one parameter was provided for validity and reliability analysis. Finally, the discrimination study of the test was conducted. According to the results of the analysis, TODİL is a measurement tool that has high validity and reliability, has current norms obtained from a highly representative norm group, and can distinguish children with language disorders from children without language disorders.
