Meditation, according to the general belief, seems to be a non-conscious effort to just monitor the mind in order to be quiet and increase awareness. This term is the general name for many different applications that are not standard or uniform. There are also meditations that are quite active, done at an open conscious level, or done for physical health and healing purposes. Regardless of religious beliefs, meditation can enable perception of reality on another level. Whether meditation is practiced as a prayer, a mystical state of thought and consciousness, or a quest to gain physical and psychological health, this awareness of another level of reality manifests as personal maturation and growth. It means feeling the existence and being in intense contact with what is happening inside and around the person.
First of all, I would like to share with you some of my meditation methods for you to do at home. There are different postures and methods of meditation.
